Dirmark was established in 1985 but our history
extends back to the mid-60's via the company's founder. Over
the years Dirmark has grown into one of the leading providers
of list and telemarketing information in the country.
M.E. Newton began his direct marketing career in 1964. His job
experience includes employment with D&B, NBL, MDR and in
1984, establishing Dirmark. In additional to his employment
history, a few of Mr. Newton's accomplishments include:
• Mail order pioneer: Established and
coordinated numerous mail order programs.
• Profile development: While at NBL,
assisted in the development of new modeling and profiling tools
not previously utilized.
• Founded SDMA: Established and was president
of the S.E. Direct Marketing Assoc., whose membership grew to
over 500 firms and was finally incorporated into the DMA. The
primary purpose of the SDMA was to educate local businesses
and vendors about the DM industry.
• DMA speaker: Spoke on numerous occasions
at DMA meetings. Subject content would center on mailing list,
telemarketing list, database analysis, modeling and profiling,
response analysis, and dealer programs.
• Round table: Has participated on numerous
discussion groups to share his expertise of list information
with other industry experts such as Ed Burnette, Edwin Mayer
and Rene Ganam, just to mention a few.
• Lobbyist: Lobbying for DMA (Direct
Marketing Assocation) issues in Washington D.C.
